Invisalign Clear Teeth Aligners

If you are considering cosmetic dentistry, take the first step today with Invisalign clear aligners.

Nearly invisible aligners

Clear trays that fit snugly over your teeth, so most people will not notice them.

Removable and convenient

Take them out to eat, brush and floss as normal.

Predictable, planned results

Digital planning shows how your smile can look before treatment begins.

Professional Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Each set is worn for around one to two weeks before moving to the next stage.

Invisalign braces can help with:

  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Mild to moderate bite issues
  • Relapse after previous braces

This treatment is ideal for adults and older teenagers who want a discreet alternative to traditional braces.

Because the aligners are removable, you can continue enjoying your favourite foods and maintain good oral hygiene throughout treatment.

Careful planning is essential. We use digital scanning technology to map out your tooth movements and ensure safe, controlled results.

Common Reasons Patients Choose Invisalign

You may be considering Invisalign if you:

  • Feel self conscious about crooked teeth
  • Do not want visible metal braces
  • Have an important event coming up
  • Had braces years ago and teeth have shifted
  • Want a more even, confident smile

We will assess your suitability and explain realistic timelines and expectations.

The Process Behind Invisalign

STEP 1

Initial Consultation

A face-to-face or Zoom consultation with our Treatment Coordinator (TCO) or Dentist to discuss your concerns, goals, and any deadlines (such as an upcoming special event).

STEP 2

3D Scan & Smile Simulation

An in-house 3D scan using our latest iTero Lumina Scanner. We'll walk you through a 3D smile simulation so you can see a preview of your teeth before and after Invisalign treatment.

STEP 3

ClinCheck® Treatment Planning

Your custom 3D treatment plan is created using ClinCheck® by our Specialist Invisalign doctors, mapping out each stage of your smile transformation.

STEP 4

Aligner Fitting

Your Invisalign aligners are fitted. Attachments and/or IPR (interproximal reduction) may be required, depending on your individual treatment plan.

What’s Next?

After being custom made and shipped to High Locks Dental Practice, a series of aligners will be received by the patient to wear every day and change at home.

Change your aligners every 1-2 weeks. The patient will visit the practice every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners. After finishing the treatment plan, retainers will be required to maintain the patient’s new smile.

Studies show that without retainers straightened teeth can gradually shift back towards their initial position. Wearing Vivera retainers after traditional braces or Invisalign treatment means the patient keeps their teeth in their new position, protecting their smile and investment. Vivera’s proprietary material is 30% stronger than other leading clear retainer materials which reduces the risk of the retainer cracking or breaking.

Faq's About Invisalign

Do I Have To Wear A Retainer?
Yes. After your Invisalign treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position.

Teeth can naturally shift over time, so retainers are important for maintaining your results long term. Your dentist will advise how often to wear it, which is usually every night.

How Will I Know If Invisalign Is Suitable For Me?
The best way to find out is with a consultation.

During your appointment, your dentist will assess your teeth, bite and overall oral health. Invisalign is suitable for many cases, including crowded, spaced or mildly misaligned teeth.

You will receive clear advice on whether Invisalign is the right option for you and what results you can expect.

Can You Chew Gum With Invisalign?
No, chewing gum is not recommended while wearing Invisalign aligners.

Gum can stick to the aligners and damage them. It can also affect how well they fit.

You should remove your aligners before chewing gum and clean your teeth before putting them back in.

Can I Remove My Aligners?
Yes, Invisalign aligners are removable.

You should remove them when eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing and flossing. This makes it easier to maintain good oral hygiene throughout your treatment.

For the best results, you should wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day.

Will Invisalign Affect My Speech?
You may notice a slight change in your speech when you first start wearing aligners.

This is usually temporary and most patients adjust within a few days. Any minor lisp tends to disappear as your mouth gets used to the aligners.

Invisalign is designed to be discreet and comfortable, so it should not impact your day to day communication long term.
